Creating A Business Plan, The First Step In Your Internet Business Training Program

March 31,2008

What Is A Business Plan And How Can It Benefit Your Internet Business Training Program? By thinking of your business plan as a 'road map' for your business. you can actually envision viewing a GPS system to arrive at the destination, which is success. The first step in this process is determining WHAT it is that 'success' means to you. It's many different things to many different people. For some it may be replacing their income from a job, for others it may be a few extra hundred dollars a month, and for some yet, it might be making ten thousand dollars per month. Only you know how you will define success, but in order to create a road map, you need to know where your trip ends, what it's final destination is.

So your first step is to figure out your goals. Determine what your idea of success is. Write it down. Then make a plan for how your business will achieve this. For instance, if you want your business to be earning $1,000 per month, and you can make $100.00 per month for every website you set up, then you know you will need 10 websites. But if you only think you can count on your websites making $50.00 per month, you will need 20 websites. By this token, if you have each website making $200.00 per month, you will only need 5 websites.

Knowing How To Define Your success is the first step in this plan. The second step is to create a Financial Plan. This doesn't have to be a high gloss professionally written business plan, but it should be neat and in a plastic cover folder. In a financial plan you need to determine two very important things. How much do you have to invest in a business and how will it be invested. If you have $100.00 to invest, you know that you need at least one domain name, ten bucks, and a hosting account, $10.00 a month. Now you are left with $80.00 You know that you need $10.00 a month for hosting, so you could plan for 3 months of hosting and now you have $50.00 left over in the budget. What do you think is the best way for you to invest this $50.00 to see a return before your 3 months are up. Do you want to buy some PLR material, spin it and sell it?
Do you want to find some affiliate products and use a Google Adwords campaign to drive traffic to it? Or maybe you want to outsource the writing of 20 articles for an affiliate product to drive traffic to it. Whatever the case may be, you want to have some idea of how much you want to invest, up-front, monthly and on speculation too. On speculation just means that you may want a piece of software that will automate your writing processes. If that software costs $5.00, put in the budget.

Finally, you need a marketing plan. How are you going to 'market' your products. Do you want to use articles? Or would you like to market on CraigsList? Perhaps you want to market to forums. Most likely, in order to ensure the greatest success, you will want to use a variety of marketing tactics to deliver your product to the market it serves. So you want to know which marekting techniques you will use and develop a plan to use them. An example would be a schedule. On Monday, you will market to forums, on Tuesday you will market on craigslist, on Wednesday, and so on and so on.
